Happy Halloween "Morning"!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN FROM CHASE!!!!

Here are a few photos from this morning before school. Chase wore his lil' monkey costume to school to participate in some fun "dress up" and festivities! The only way I could get him to stay still was to turn on ELMO! ELMO has become a favorite of his the past few weeks....the song has stuck into mine and Rich's head and Chase imitates everything he does.

Chase is blowing a kiss to ELMO in this picture!

In awe of ELMO

ELMO is going off and Chase is saying "bye" to him while waving! What a cutie!
More Halloween pictures to follow....we're having a little party for him and have invited some friends!

Our 1st Pumpkin Carving

Last night was our 1st pumpkin carving experience! Chase briefly participated in the event. Mommy did most of the work....gross! Daddy helped too. Chase was mostly excited that we had the garage door open and he could get into the "that's not for touching" things!

Chase really enjoyed carrying around the orange shovel from the pumpkin carving kit.

Chase was very observant will Daddy cut the seeds from the top of the pumpkin

Chase tried to put his shovel inside the pumpkin, but I think he touched the "yucky" part, so he quickly ran away and giggled. :)

Chase wanted to take a stroll in his wagon and car during the middle of carving.....wow, the attention span of a 1 year old is sometimes hard to keep up with!

He definitely enjoyed the stickers more than the actual carving.

Kersey Valley Pumpkin Patch Visit

Okay so I just realized I put this out-of-order on the blog.....this event took place before the artwork at school on Monday. We went to visit the Pumpkin Patch at Kersey Valley last Sunday, Oct. 26th. We met our friend Marie and Kaylyn there and then Special K and Bryson met us there a few minutes later. We had a great time even though the patch looked a bit scarce. They did a refill of pumpkins as we were packing up to leave. Rich and Special K raided the pumpkin barrels and grabbed the best ones!

The babies have no clue where we are and could care less, which means the mommies could barely take the pictures without laughing hysterically!

Kaylyn trying to hand Chase a pumpkin. He wouldn't let go of his train whistle long enough to take it.

Pointing to other kids in the patch....this was intense!

This was sooooo funny to the mommies!! Chase was more interested in pointing his hands through the opening at the other people and Kaylyn giggled and smiled the entire time.

So sweet and innocent.

He definitely didn't want to sit still for a picture.....the busy life of a toddler still puzzles all of us :)

He wanted "up" on this wagon the majority of the visit.....he enjoyed walking around and literally throwing the small pumpkins around.

Bryson joined us at the patch

Picking his pumpkin.....he carried it to his mommy by the stem!! Hercules

Birthday Party at Chuck E Cheese

Monday after I picked Chase up from school we headed to Winston-Salem for my cousin's little boy's birthday party. Chase is really getting used to this place and loves it every time we visit. Each visit he plays a new game and learns what things he can get away with :)

Cousin Bryson eating a yummy cupcake!

You couldn't stand beside them and play because you weren't sure if you were going to get "whacked" with those skee-balls...they don't quite understand how to aim yet! By the end of the night, they found a new way to play skee-ball.....
Chase loved this game. It's kind of like Simon (the light up game). He would "tep" on the "ights"~~so precious. He often moved to slow and would step on them after the fact. He really did enjoy grabbing the tickets out of the machine!

And then of course, trying to put them back in once he pulled them out! He was very serious about this task!

The manager could tell Chase liked the tickets, so he came by and wrapped Chase in hundreds of tickets. So nice!!! LOTS of tickets=COOL prizes!!!

As you can see, this was the task Bryson and Chase realized by the end of the night. I would pull him down and redirect his attention to another game and he would literally run from me and jump on the skee ball.....a couple of times he made it to the rings...yikes!!! What a little daredevil.

It's been a whole week since a post....

Here is a picture of Chase from school on Monday doing his usual at artwork time: Eating whatever object is supposed to be used for creating art (i.e., paintbrushes, crayons, markers, etc...). The joys of raising a little boy are endless :)

My 1st Field Trip=Pumpkin Patch!!!!

This morning was Chase's 1st field trip experience. Wow, we had so much fun, but Mommy was sure exhausted by the end of the 45 minute trip. Haha! Chase was amazed by the overwhelming orange pumpkins. He made his rounds and touched as many as possible. He even tried to pick up the largest pumpkin out there. He really enjoyed touching the stems. Half way through the trip, Chase realized the sidewalk that lead to the parking lot. Whew....this is what ran Mommy crazy. His teacher even felt the pain because she ran after him a few times. Chase wanted to walk up and down the sidewalk and "tep" onto the parking lot. Needless to say, Mommy had to hold his hand tightly while we stood in line to pay....that didn't last long, so I had to carry him, the camera, 2 pumpkins, and my money.....and the lady working the patch approached me and decided I could carry a sticker in addition to all the other stuff. LOL! I made it work and we had a fantastic time. Maybe we can schedule more field trips!!

For those who remember the pumpkin patch last year, (Chase was 4 months old~pics on myspace) this is the exact place we took pictures of him eating the "purple corn" and eventually got sick!! We had to take another picture to see how much he has grown!

Mommy and her favorite 'lil' boy!!

"Mommy, I can get the biggest pumpkin!!"

In awe! Pure joy=simple things in life!

Chase refused to walk up and down the aisle's to get the next row of pumpkins. He decided climbing over them was much faster!

Popper for Sell...LOL

My Mom and Granny knew this popper would drive me crazy, so of course Chase received it for his 1st Birthday in June. He still loves it and carries it everywhere in the house. Gotta love those Granny's, right?

"What Does the Elephant Say?"

"What does the elephant say, Chase?" Chase really enjoys elephants and finds them on his Baby Einstein videos, at home in books, at school in the animal bin and in the books. You can tell by his lips that he is making the elephant sound. It's really cute. He often times throws his arm up in the air to represent the trunk of the elephant and then creates the sound. He is such a little sponge~he absorbs so much knowledge everyday!

Making a Mess, Slide Time, and Yummy Lunch

Here are a couple of pictures of Chase from school today!

What a sweet face!

Chase being a big boy at lunch

"OH NO" and my new hairdo!!!!

Chase really loves saying, "oh no!" He even drags it out when he says it. It is the most hilarious thing ever. I was able to capture him saying during dinner.

Chase didn't get all of his dinner in his mouth without getting LOTS of it in his hair!!

Sippy Cup Culprit

Bryson and Chase decided it was time for a sippy cup break during all the playing they were doing.....Chase decided to "spit" or blow "raspberries" of milk all over himself and the floor. What fun a boy is :)

Maybe he can become the next "got milk" poster child!!!!
