Chase looking SO cute!!!

After going to Elizabeth's Birthday party on Saturday, we stopped to get some dinner on the way home. Chase was silly the entire dinner. He wanted to wear Rich's hat, which we thought was so adorable. After he put it on, he looked at the TV to watch the race. A typical boy!! :)

I am so blessed to have two good looking men in my life!!!
Hey, where did the light go? This hat is too big!

Sunday, Jan 31...Second Snow Day!!!

The second snow day, we actually played outside a bit longer. Saturday was just so cold that we couldn't bare to stay very long. On Sunday we walked up to the elementary school and played on the playground. On the way there, we stopped by our little neighborhood pond to see how frozen it was. The second picture is Chase's shadow...however, every time I rotate it and save it, it turns back. Out of all the pictures I took, rotated and re-sized, this one decides not to cooperate. Oh well. It looks normal on my computer screen.

Chase's shadow!!!

Contemplating the slide...

Here I go...

Safely landed in numerous inches of SNOW and then asks to do it over and over again :)

So does Daddy!!

This really is FUN

Even better riding on Daddy's lap down the twirly slide...

UNTIL.... Daddy lets me go by myself... USUALLY this would not be a problem, BUT this slide was SOOOOO fast with the snow on it. I flew down it on my bottom and landed on my belly

Just realized what my Daddy did.... I'm not a happy boy right now!!!

So back to the way I remember them....going fast down the snow slide ON my Daddy's LAP!

YIPPEE!!!!

OH MY GAH!!!! I just LOVE this picture... snotty nose and all!!!! I love the one below, too!!!

Headed back to the wagon to ride home....

Saturday, Jan 30th (BIG SNOW DAY!!!)

The meteorologist was right, YIPPEE!!!! We knew it was going to happen, so we decided to go out to eat Mexican food Friday night with the Peele Family since we would be home bound the rest of the weekend. Saturday was a fun filled day. We watched movies, Chase ate popcorn and Oreos, we made a big breakfast, we made a crock pot of chili, we played Potato Head, raced cars, built with Lego's, colored, and played in the snow!!!! WOW! We were all exhausted! It was fun being with my 2 boys, though! Thank you, thank you, thank you LORD for our snow day(s)!!!!

Oreos give him sheer joy----funny thing, he does NOT eat the chocolate part.. he just eats all of the sugar and throws away the actual cookie. It doesn't appear that way, but very true!

We measured the snowfall *before* the 2nd snow came through...I know we had more by that afternoon.
Snow makes everything look beautiful!

My baby's footprints!! LOVE THEM!

HOME

I didn't realize I was setting myself up for a snowball fight... AND, I was NOT warned either..

Still didn't realize... BUT on the inside I'm sure he is laughing hysterically at what's about to happen....

He screamed me in the face with that iceberg of a snowball....

Face planted..

Photos for the day of LOVE

I took Chase outside last week when the weather was nicer to capture some candid pictures of him. I wanted to use one or more of them for a Valentine Day picture card. I fell in love with one in particular for the card. Cannot wait to mail them out!

I picked the one above!!! He looks so charming in this picture, so it was a perfect face for Valentine's Day!

Chase's Present from his GG!!

Poor GG and poor Chase.... Since the weather was not cooperative during the Christmas Holiday, Chase had to wait to receive his present from GG until the weather was warmer. We didn't let Chase open the present UNTIL he could use it. We refused to let him unwrap it or even see that he had another present. I knew he would want to use it immediately. It was well worth the wait!!!! Unfortunately, GG was not here to see him open it the day it was warm, but we did videotape and send her a picture! Chase was thrilled and had the best time jumping!!! Thank you, GG!!

When Chase has fun or concentrates, he sticks out his tongue... he did it the majority of the time while jumping!

Strange Bird

Rich left the house to run an errand and I noticed this strange bird on the rooftop of the house behind us. Chase was fascinated and watched it as it sat there until he flew away. We haven't seen the bird since that day.
