Halloween Caramel Apples
Chase loves to cook with Mommy, so I saved making the caramel apples activity for when Nana arrived Friday night so she could participate. Chase had more fun eating the sprinkles and giggling. The apples seemed to have turned out just fine and decorating them for his little friends was a lot of fun.

Trick or Treating at the Mall
After Chase's school party we met Dave and Kaylyn at the Mall to trick or treat. Poor Marie was so sick and couldn't be there. Chase and Kaylyn starred at one another when we arrived and giggled that they were in costumes. They were able to get in some good practice for the real thing on Halloween night.
Class Halloween Party

Thursday, before Halloween, Chase's class had a party at 3pm.
When I arrived, this is what I saw Chase doing....still sleeping! Zzzz! Someone hit the snooze button. He looked like a zombie during the party. It was totally a cute side of him. Again, I am partial to all of his sides. I didn't post any pictures of him eating his fun snacks because I haven't taken the time to edit his friends out of the shot and I haven't asked their parents for permission to post them.

Halloween Decorating
Trying out my Giraffe Costume
I about cried when we realized that Chase's Elmo costume was just too small and that he would not be comfortable in it for more than 30 seconds on Halloween. The larger sized Elmo costumes were basically a half costume; meaning they stopped at the waist. This would not be a huge problem, IF I could find the exact red pants to match the upper part. Oh well. I just ventured on to new ideas and stores. Rich, Chase and I went shopping for costumes last weekend, but came back home empty handed. Bummer. Monday of this week, I had a cancellation visit at work, so I stopped by Marshall's to walk around and totally found this super duper cute Giraffe costume. I LOVED it!!!! Giraffe is one of Chase's recognition words (he can read it if you write it) and he also is beginning to like Madagascar, so I picked this one!!! We thought he looked extra adorable!!!

Chili Cookofff at the Peele's House
The weekend before Halloween we attended the Chili Cookoff at the Peele's house. About 10 kids were there, so of course, my BFF (Marie) had a plan. Keep the kids busy with awesome fall activities. It's fun being a teacher and thinking of creative ways to involve the kids. The kids decorated cookies, created/painted paper bag pumkins, and then they had a bean bag toss. The loved it!

Bryson Stays the Night!
Bryson stayed the night with Chase after the BBQ bash. He loves staying with Uncle Richie, Aunt B, and Chase! It's so much fun to watch those two play together. It's like having twins. I can't get enough of them!! This particular sleepover, they LOVED my dress up necklaces and bracelets. As you can tell by their faces, they feel "blackmailed" by the camera. haha!!! They played with these things for 2 days! We found jelly bracelets in all of Chase's outdoor toys and the yard the next day!

BBQ Birthday Bash and 1 AWESOME Cake!
The Saturday after my Birthday (Thursday) and my Costume Party (Friday), we hosted a BBQ Bash for family and friends who didn't or couldn't come to the costume party. There was plenty of adults and a classroom full of kiddies! Thank goodness for the open and fenced in backyard, upstairs playroom and a time for cake! I had a great time seeing everyone and I'm thankful to have lived 30 awesome years!!
*MY BIRTHDAY CAKE WAS A HUGE SURPRISE FROM RICH AND MY MOM!!!! I LOVED IT!!!!!!

Super Cute Trick or Treat Bag
For the past two years, I have used a fabric pumpkin bag (small) for Chase's trick-or-treating bag. It was the perfect size for him at 4 months and 16 months, but not going forward. I visited a bag sale that I go to twice a year and was super excited to find this canvas, collapsable square bag!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!! After a few stitches to create the name, it is ready for use for many years to come!!! He is getting in lots of good practice using it with Mommy and Daddy dishing out candy!
Jackson Nathaniel is born
My second nephew was born October 12th at 4:16pm! He weighed 7lbs 10oz and was 20.5 inches in length! We welcomed him with open arms and lots of hugs and kisses. His older Bryson was quick to love him and so was his cousin, Chase! We are especially surprised that Chase wanted to give Jackson his beloved paci!!!! We just love Jackson so much! Congratulations Krystal, we love you!!!!!

Greensboro Arboretum
Sunday, October 11th, Rich and a couple of guys met at Lindley Park to practice softball. Chase and I decided to tag along so I could snap some fall pictures of Chase at the Arboretum. Chase was extremely cooperative and I was able to capture some priceless expressions! I just love taking photos of this boy!!!!
