Hello all! Chase is such a little talker. He has been since he was a wee lil' thing. I have him on tape only a couple of weeks old cooing away and then came the babbling, single consonant and vowel sounds, and then words. Just a little bit of background on how early of a talker he was: He said "dada" on Dec. 13th 2007 (6 days before he was 6 months)~we have this on tape too! He said "mama" on Jan. 8th 2008 (11 days before he was 7 months)! His first word outside of "mama" and "dada" was "cat." I'm sure our little pup, Chloe, was devastated, but the cat loves him too and he really adores her.
Here lately Chase's vocabulary has rapidly expanded. Here are the new words he added this weekend: "duck," "doggie," Tho-T" when pointing to a picture of Thomas the Train.
Words that he says on a fairly regular basis:
"baw" (ball),
"Ba-Bulls," (bubbles),
"Da-ge," (Doggie),
"ki-kit," (ki, ki, ki, ki, kitty)
"ta-tou," (thank you)
"hain," (train)
"choo-choo,"
"tuck," (truck)
"duck,"
"ba" (bus),
"bak-bak," (quack-quack),
"bye-bye,"
"tep," (step),
"hey,"
"cat,"
"fa-tuck," (firetruck)
"Toos" (shoes)
*I'm sure I left 1 or 2 off that isn't coming to mind since the Baby Book is downstairs*
Chase can also tell me what sound the elephant makes. This is really cute. He throws his arm up in the air to indicate the elephant's trunk moving while making the sound.
He is also imitating these signs: "more," "please," "milk," "all done," "eat," "potty," "shoo-fly," and he's been really working on animal signs (cow, cat, elephant, duck, horse).
We are so proud of him!
