Holiday Hoopin'

Last night was Chase's 2nd night away from Mommy and Daddy. Chase's 1st spend the night was in October with my mom while Rich and I went to the Nascar race with friends. Last night, Rich and I had a Holiday Party to go to, so it seemed easier for him to stay the night with Granny again. Although she would have came to our house to watch him for a couple of hours, we felt it was necessary for him to stay since in a short few weeks we are leaving for Cabo, Mexico without Chase :( He will stay with my mom from Wednesday to Monday while we are gone.....okay, did you just since my heart skipping 50 beats? This is really hard on me, but I feel things will work out for the best....or at least that's what people are telling me :) SO, back to the story..... yesterday we took Chase to my mom's and we ate lunch and he was totally fine when we left. He gave us hugs and kisses, blew us both more kisses and waved to us, all while saying, "Bye" in his most adorable southern voice!!!! I called my mom to check on him before the party....of course, he was fine :) He and Bryson enjoyed each others company and literally wore my mom out :) My mom converted Bryson's crib to the daybed and Chase was the first "Guinea pig" to sleep in it through the night. Bryson had only taken a nap in it. My mom slept in the floor near the daybed to be sure he was safe....awww....what a sweet granny! She said Chase fell out of the bed around 2:30am...and patted her on the head saying, "momma, momma," so she put him back in the bed and he slept until 8:15am without rolling back out! We may convert his bed over the Holidays.....we'll see. We picked him up around lunch and he snoozed for 30 minutes on the drive home, but as soon as we pulled in the driveway he heard the neighborhood kids playing basketball. So much for him continuing his nap in the house!

Mexico...I am so JEALOUS!!!! I know it has to be causing you anxiety already though. Sounds like he is in great hands with his granny. So sweet of her to sleep in the floor to make sure he was ok.
