No more Events without Daddy or a Sitter!

Just a quick venting story....Rich has been gone since Sunday afternoon to Orlando...ugh and won't return until tomorrow evening. This travelling thing is for the birds :), but I know it's ultimately supposed to get better and hopefully less frequent as he adjusts to his new position. Well tonight was Co-op's (Chase's school) Potluck Dinner at 5:30pm and I guess you could say I should have been more in charge (in a variety of ways). You see, the Wilder's are the head of the Events Committee or better yet, the ENTIRE committee....somehow that happened and we are hopefully getting more families on our committee. Our committee is responsible for teacher, children and parent events. So, in lieu of the Parent Meeting we decided to host a Potluck dinner. Very yummy! Although I didn't have to do too much to get things rolling, Chase kept me moving the entire event. I barely had time to sit and consume my dinner. He did really well in the beginning, but as the older children started running up and down the hallway and entering the classrooms to play....he didn't hesitate to follow. He is a social butterfly and tries to hang with the big dogs. Needless to say, I can't tell you exactly how much he ate for dinner.....I tried to hand him things (banana, nuggets, blueberries) and even offered him yogurt, but he insisted on running. Next time, Daddy will be present at the Event or we will find some good excuse to get a sitter :)

I'm having similar problems with Landon now that he can walk. He is becoming very annoyed now everytime we have to go somewhere that requires me to hold him or requires him to sit in a stroller, shopping cart, or in my lap. He gets so upset when he can't go explore and discover his surroundings! He's really wearing me out these days. I am constantly running after him. Maybe it'll help me lose some weight though...lol.
