MY 1st HAIRCUT!!!!!!!!!!

PERFECT TIMING I say!! I have heard wonderful things about this cute lil' kids salon in Durham near Streets at SouthPoint for awhile. Rich and I knew we wanted to take Chase there for his 1st haircut, but we have been waiting until after Rich's sister's wedding. Many of Rich's family traveled from out of town and he wanted them to see Chase with his "baby-do" instead of a "new-do." On our way back from Raleigh we stopped in today for Chase's 1:00pm appointment. This is right at Chase's naptime, so we knew he would either sleep before or after or as we were hoping, both. Well he fell asleep before (12:30...ugh), so he only slept 25 min. before we went inside. The name of the salon is "Peek-a-do" and it definitely lived up to my envisions and the stories that I had heard. I loved it. They had a kids play area with lots of really cool toys including a Thomas the train table and set. Chase really made himself right at home. The salon also sells toys, which Chase thought was supposed to be apart of the "play area"--haha! I was most impressed with the little seats the younger children sit in for their haircut! They had a boat, an airplane, and a jeep truck. They had a couple of big kid chairs too. We chose the jeep truck!!! Chase didn't cry or fuss one bit ....maybe because each station has a TV....he watched Thomas the Train throughout his haircut!!!! The hairstylist also took a before picture and an after picture, gave us a "My 1st haircut" certificate and also a lock of his "baby" hair. What a great experience.....maybe we will schedule his haircuts when we pass through Raleigh :)

Before his haircut!!

Sitting in the cute little jeep truck!!

Isn't this just so stinking PRECIOUS??????

Chase had some long hair..LOL

The hairstylist was so nice and so good with him
even when he moved!! And yes, I asked permission :)

My baby's "baby" hair :(

He held a train during his haircut

After the 1st haircut!!! So cute!

PERFECT!!

"Daddy, go pay, so I can PLAY!!"

He really liked the magnetic board

This place looks so cool! I hope I can find a place like this in Wilmington when I go to take Landon for his first haircut. How did Chase like getting his hair cut? I love that last pic at the bottom with that little smirk; too cute!
