One of the teachers at Chase's school makes nap time blankets and small pillow cases, so of course I had to order two sets! Chase has been using the one "cat" set at school. That is the first one she made about 6 weeks or so ago. I took a great amount of the stuffing out of the pillow because he's never used one before and it seemed way too thick. I thought he could get used to it at school first...mainly because naps are shorter than sleeping at night. He seemed to enjoy his cat blanket and pillow. Last week, the teacher brought in the sweet "nursery" rhyme set for Chase. Again, I took the most of the stuffing out of the pillow and recently placed it in his crib. He doesn't necessary use the blanket with that set at home because he still sleeps in a sleep sack. My justification for that is he can't get a grip on the rails to climb out....maybe he will sleep in one forever :) Last night, I placed him ON the pillow after he fell asleep. I took my shower and came back to take one last glance before heading to bed and this is what I found. My little snuggle bunny! He was cuddled up under the pillow and still holding on tight to his blankie! I grabbed my phone and snapped the photo!

Aww...he's so precious in this picture. What an angel! I think babies just look so peaceful when they're sleeping.
I wish I could have gotten Landon to use the sleep sacks, but he hated them from birth! He seems to move around in his sleep a lot, so I guess he felt restricted or something. Of course, until he was about 3 months old, he would only sleep in his car seat which we had inside of the crib at night. Crazy, I know! He also hated all the little gowns I received at my baby shower...ugh! I wonder if I tried again, would he possibly be willing to use a sleep sack. I never thought about them helping to deter climbing out of the crib, but that's a good point. We've already got the crib on the lowest setting as he's quite tall for his age.
Remember i told you that they make those sleep sacks to a much bigger size. Love his little pillow...how cute!
