We're Back in the Estados Unidos!

Hola Amigos! Rich and I had a BLAST in Los Cabos, Mexico. I think I worked myself up leaving Chase, but nonetheless he had a great time at my mom's house. He did call out for us a couple of mornings and evenings, but he was fine. I have SO many pictures to upload to the computer (roughly 2000), so this may be an ongoing process for the next few days. I think Rich and I felt we were on a 2nd Honeymoon......the day of the trip (Thursday) was L-O-N-G. We started in Charlotte by waking up at 4am at our hotel and arrived to the airport at 5:15am. We flew from Charlotte to Atlanta and had a small layover and then Atlanta to Mexico City and we had a 4 hour layover there! This part was interesting because we weren't given a boarding pass for this airport in Charlotte, so we ventured to the front desk to inquire. The lady gave us a boarding pass to a flight number that was different than what our confirmation stated, but we didn't mind because we would land earlier than expected. We walked around and chatted in the worst possible Spanish to the locals. It was fun and interesting. We then flew from Mexico City to Los Cabos, Mexico! Yay....we arrived. The Pilot of the airplane was awesome. He flew us around the entire island/penisula before landing. The view was incredible! We then walked to Baggage Claim to only realize we had NO bags. YIKES! How funny this was. Two *southern* people walking around trying to explain that we didn't have bags and I was to be in a wedding, so I really needed them quickly. Luckily, I remembered the lady in Mexico City put us on an earlier flight, so we waited until that plane landed and *ta-da* there were our bags! YIPEE, now on with the vacation! The cab driver literally drove 80mph the entire way from the aeropeurto to our resort and Cabo doesn't have street lights, so that was a good laugh for us. We quickly checked into our room, changed clothes and headed onto another *fast* cab ride to the restaurant for the rehearsal dinner. I missed the rehearsal due to the time change and the misplacement of luggage, but the dinner was good and the margaritas were *strong,* but that was okay by us considering our long day! We then ventured out to El Squid Roe, a very fun bar! They were offering cervezas, Jell-O shots, tequila shots, and other drinks left and right. We all had fun dancing and hanging out! Rich and I were exhausted, but we hung in there until they left. More about our 2nd Honeymoon to come......I'll try to post pictures very soon!
